REGISTRATION: September and June are paid at registration along with a onetime $30 registration fee. There is a $50 registration fee for families of two or more. The dance year is from September to June.
TUITION POLICY: Tuition is an annual rate due in installments. All tuition is non-refundable. Tuition can be paid by cash, check or credit card. We do not accept American Express or Discover. All holidays have been taken into consideration. No refunds or adjustments will be made for school closings, sickness, or excused absences. Pay yearly tuition in full and receive a 5% discount.
LATE FEES: A $10 late fee will automatically be added to all payments that are not made by the due date. Bills are only generated if payments are late or as a reminder for additional payments that are due on your account. There will be a $25 fee for all returned checks. Any outstanding balances past 60 days will result in the dancer not participating in class or receiving their costumes. Any outstanding balance past 90 days will be handled by a collections agency.
REFUND POLICY: All registration fees, tuition, costume deposits, balances, etc. are non-refundable.
RECITAL: Platinum Performance offers an annual recital which will be held in June. Our recital is not mandatory; however, it is strongly encouraged. Participating students must purchase the mandatory costume for each class. All students must remain backstage for the entire show. For the safety of your child, no students are allowed to leave during the show or intermission. Once the show is over, children will be escorted out by class and the parents will pick them up in the lobby.
COSTUMES: Students participating in the recital must purchase mandatory costume for each class. Payments are due in FULL by November 15th for Recreational classes. Company costume payments are to be made in two installments due in November and January. Platinum is not responsible for alterations.
RECITAL AND DRESS REHEARSAL/PICTURE DAY: Platinum offers recital and picture day which will be held at the end of the dance year. A professional photographer will be available to take an individual and class picture of your child in each of his/her costume on the day of the rehearsal. Specific class information will be mailed out in May. Individual pictures are not mandatory.
ATTENDANCE/MAKE-UP CLASSES: Punctual, consistent attendance and proper dance attire is expected of all Platinum students. NO REFUNDS or credit will be given for missed classes, school closings or inclement weather. Please notify the studio if your child will be late or absent. Make-up classes due to illness, religious holiday or inclement weather should be taken within two months of the missed class(s).
CONDUCT: Students, parents and teachers are expected to conduct themselves with respect for each other at all times Teachers can refuse to allow a child to continue a class if their behavior or dress attire is deemed inappropriate.
PARENT OBSERVATION: Parents are welcome to watch their child’s class at any time, however if they are being distracting we ask that they step away from the door.
